Hi I’m RAISA — A Licensed Cosmetologist, Educator, and Community-Based Business owner born and raised in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Through Hair She Rose LLC, I create hands-on, youth-centered curriculum-based programs that teach professional skills, self-care, teamwork, and real-world readiness. In addition to my services, I develop and teach curriculum-based courses for adult women, focusing on proper hair care practices, scalp health, and growth education. My approach combines hands-on experience with structured learning to create lasting results. My work blends Beauty, Education, and Workforce Exposure to help young people build Confidence, Discipline, and a Vision for their FUTURE.

My education at Empire Beauty School introduced me to the science behind cosmetology — from hair growth cycles and follicle structure to product chemistry and sanitation practices. Understanding the “why” behind what we do changed everything for me. It showed me that beauty is not just creativity — it is science, precision, and responsibility. That foundation is what drives my work today. I am committed to bringing this level of knowledge to youth, helping them understand that the skills they are learning are rooted in real-world science and can open doors to meaningful opportunities.
Education
DOE Vendor
Becoming a DOE Vendor was a natural extension of my purpose. I wanted to take the knowledge, structure, and discipline I’ve developed in cosmetology and bring it into spaces where young people can be properly introduced to the beauty industry. Too often, what is seen online lacks education and foundation. My goal is to provide real, structured learning experiences that teach not just technique, but hygiene, professionalism, and self-respect. This work allows me to give back to the community while creating opportunities for the next generation to learn the right way.
Private Clients
At Hair She Rose, I do not offer random services. I work with a select number of private clients who are ready to commit to a structured, results-driven hair care journey. Each client is placed into a customized program designed to restore, strengthen, and maintain the health of their hair over time. This is not about quick fixes—it’s about consistency, intention, and real transformation.
